Control of our Southern Border has been given to the cartels, who have inflicted harm to five million migrants in the last two years, chiefly by administrative mismanagement. They have been lured by promises of massive benefits, which New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and other cities are declaring they cannot fulfill.
The latest executive order takes effect May 31, which will amplify sex trafficking of minors: the White House has abandoned DNA testing, which was the chief detection means for verifying a minor was a child of an accompanying adult, and not a sex pawn.
We need legislators at both the federal and state level who will stand up for the protection of all children. The incumbent in State Senate District 17 has been silent on the magnitude of border trafficking. Let’s elect Tony Virrueta, who has the ethics and backbone needed for the job.
